Your stories carry irreplaceable family history, hard-won wisdom, and truths that only you can tell. Yet overwhelm, physical limitations, and self-doubt often keep these memories locked away.

Backstory’s guided process breaks through the barriers, helping your most meaningful memories find their way into the world‚ and into the hearts of those who matter most.

  1. Connect
    We arrange a free 30-minute conversation — you don't need clarity on what you want or any writing experience. The only thing needed is curiosity. 

    2. Gather 
    We meet in-person for 60 minutes to get acquainted, unearth themes, and make connections. 

    3. Choose
    We send you several options to choose from, based on what we've heard, and you pick the ideas you want to pursue. 

    4. Create
    You talk, we listen and guide, meeting for two, four, or six times. 

    5. Iterate
    We send you a draft to review.

    6. Finish
    We deliver the final hard copy product, along with a digital file, to keep and share. ​
