Collaborators

Amy Hill is a community-based video storyteller. She co-founded Silence Speaks in 1999 and has led more than 50 workshops around the world that help people share first-person life stories. Since 2017, Amy has collaborated with Bay Area refugee and immigrant-serving organizations on Stories of Home, using storytelling, artmaking, and performance to uplift migrant voices. She is now developing a video project for family members and caregivers of people with dementia. She holds degrees from Scripps College and Stanford University and lives in Berkeley, California. Hillary Goidell is a photographer whose artistic practice considers the fault lines of human experience, like the vulnerabilities of illness or end of life, and questions of presence and absence that shape our intimate and cultural worlds.

For nearly a decade, she has offered photography at BAYS retreats for young women with breast cancer at Commonweal in Bolinas.

Drawing on the ways photography acted as a form of caregiving for her own parents as they declined, she brings image-making to families and individuals looking to celebrate the lives of loved ones. See some of her work here
