My Services

Family History

WHAT: A book that preserves your family history, as told by a storyteller to an active listener and guide. An intergenerational history helps the storyteller reflect on their lives, and ensures memories don’t fade away.

WHY: Many people have pieces of their family history scattered across folders, boxes, and computer files. This weaves together stories, memories, photos, letters, and other memorabilia into a complete and cohesive book that can be shared.

HOW: We select a starting point, perhaps a great-grandparent’s immigration, an ancestor’s birth in the old country, or a pivotal family event, and then trace the story forward through time.

FINAL PRODUCT: A beautiful softcover book with photos + digital copy of our interviews.

FEE: Average $2200. Pricing varies based on scope, length, and deliverables. Payment plans available.

TIMING: This is an in-depth, personalized two-months long process that includes at least five 60-minute conversations, follow up calls if needed, photo scanning and curation, book design, and a final review session.

In-person or virtual

Behind The Frame

WHAT: A mini two-hour story session to tell an in-depth story behind a meaningful photograph.

HOW: The storyteller chooses a photograph of a person or people who are important to them, which becomes a launching point for history and memories. We spend two hours of relaxed, unhurried conversation.

FINAL PRODUCT: Up to three copies of a beautifully written account that brings their photograph to life

FEE: $300. Pricing varies based on scope, length, and deliverables. Payment plans available.

TIMING: 2-hour session

Story Collections

WHAT: Personal stories about defining life experiences

WHY: Storytelling and remembering invites self-reflection, connection, and a greater understanding of meaningful experiences that have shaped a life.

HOW: We get to know each other through casual conversations so I understand what is important to you and how to best guide you. Then I develop personalized questions to draw out your stories.

FINAL PRODUCT: An elegantly printed story collection, with accompanying photos, that contains short chapters dedicated to each of these experiences + personal digital files of our conversations.

FEE: Range from $1100-$2200. Pricing varies based on scope, length, and deliverables. Payment plans available.

TIMING: 60-minute sessions each week, number of weeks varies.

Letters to Loved Ones

WHAT: Meaningful letters to the people who matter most

WHY: We often don’t carve out the time, or are caught unprepared, or feel too overwhelmed to truly express our hopes, dreams, and regrets to those we love.

HOW: Through unhurried conversations, we work together to uncover what is important to express: what has brought you joy, your family values, parts of history you would like to live on, or other topics dear to your heart.

THEMES: Gratitude. Life Lessons. Advice. Memories. Blessings. Apologies. Explanations.

FINAL PRODUCT: A collection of elegantly printed letters, along with a digital copy of the storyteller reading the letter.

FEE: Average $1100. Pricing varies based on scope, length, and deliverables. Payment plans available.
